Digital Water 2020

Objectives

The work of the group was organized on four thematic tasks forces: FIWARE and ontology, Sensors and demonstration, Business models and Communication and the Management task force which was created to guide the actions of the other groups. These task forces had regular meetings where they shared and developed common approaches in an effort to achieve the following:

• Set up synergies and complementarities across research, development and communication;
• join effort and share experience on the digitalisation in the water sector and its impact on the sector;
• support more efficient means of managing and protecting water resources.

Overall, the main objective of the group is to support decision-making, bring innovative water digital solutions to the market, and promote wide uptake among involved stakeholders such as water utilities, water authorities, municipalities, SMEs, software industry and the public.
